They are being cheated out of a normal childhood lets not let them be robbed of a normal life. We have put way to much on our children with parents serving in our military. They are now hurting from stress from parents deployments, divorce, death of a parent, and a parent coming home with PTSD or other mental issues caused from war. This is why we created the Hopes and Dreams Project to take them away from the daily problems and break down the barriers they put up so that we can provide counseling for them and their families to change the path they are going down to one of personal growth, social interaction eliminating disappointment and despair. Here is more about the Project. To Donate go to www.theusef.org and be part of the solution.

WHAT IS THE HOPES & DREAMS PROJECT?

The Hope & Dreams Project is collaboration between The United States Entertainment Force (USEF), a non-profit corporation and Filmic Storyworks, Inc. The purpose of the collaboration is to help kids in crisis through an innovative program of art where virtues of self-discovery, self-esteem, and self-worth are cornerstones. Kids in crisis often have distressful issues that undermine their spirit and challenge their personal growth.

Our aim is to show we care and assist in their rehabilitation by giving them the opportunity to star in a short film. The child actor will go through many of the same steps ..Hollywood.. actors go through including acting classes, blocking classes, rehearsals and filming on location. The child actor will also receive VIP treatment during the week. They will attend civic events, meet local dignitaries, dine at local restaurants, stay in luxurious accommodations and have limo service for the week. Also the child actor will be treated to a wardrobe for filming day and have their hair and makeup professionally done for the shoot.

These kids deserve this. They were victims of disease, or injury that should have taken their life. Yet they have survived and now find themselves starting life again, many without help, without direction and purpose.

The Hopes & Dreams Project was created to give these children a boost in life. To reward them for their plight, for their struggles that most of us take for granted. We want them to know we care about them and their future.

It’s hard to believe that the first month of 2010 is already behind us. It’s been an exciting month at RecruitMilitary because we’ve seen real signs that demand for talent is continuing to increase.

As you continue your career search, stay positive even if it’s been a difficult road for you. Any frustration or negativity you carry with you will show when you interview, and that will adversely affect your performance. Employers want positive and energetic employees. You need to be like the field goal kicker who missed a 30-yard try to put his team ahead in the middle of the 4th quarter, but he gets a chance at redemption with a 45-yard attempt with 3-seconds left in the game and nails it for the win.

Some points of interest for you this month:

174,000+ jobs are posted on our job board – an increase of 17,000 jobs from last month.

Over 90 new companies have partnered with us.

All recessions lead to a rise in self-employment. Is this something you should consider? Check out the opportunities with The Dwyer Group and learn more about franchising opportunities (#8 below).

In an economic recovery, part-time or flexible employment is the first to increase. Are there opportunities you’re overlooking in this area?

Remember, leave the past right there – in the past. Today is a new day to use what you’ve learned and generate a win for the home team – you and your family!
